Yakutia's Cardiovascular Center cuts heart attack deaths by 36% in 2025

Yakutia's Cardiovascular Center has made significant progress in reducing heart and stroke-related deaths. In 2025, mortality from acute myocardial infarction dropped by 36%, while deaths from cerebrovascular accidents fell by 24%. The facility has treated thousands since opening its doors. The centre operates with 17 specialised departments, offering round-the-clock care. Since its launch, over 20,000 residents have received inpatient treatment, while 58,000 have undergone outpatient examinations.

Its total capacity includes 50 cardiology beds, 46 cardiac surgery beds, and 39 neurology beds. For recovery, 15 rehabilitation beds are available, alongside 25 intensive care units.

The improvements in survival rates reflect the centre's expanded services and specialised care. Both heart attack and stroke patients now benefit from more timely and effective interventions. The centre's impact is clear in the declining death rates for major cardiovascular conditions. With thousands treated and mortality figures falling, the facility continues to strengthen healthcare in the region. Further data on long-term outcomes may provide additional insights in the future.
