Maharashtra Explores Tech-Driven Healthcare Solutions After Study Tour To Uttar Pradesh's Innovative Health Models

Maharashtra eyes UP's tech-driven healthcare for major reforms

Maharashtra is looking to upgrade its healthcare services using advanced technology. The move follows a recent study tour to Uttar Pradesh, where officials examined digital health systems and emergency response models. A dedicated team from Maharashtra will now visit the state for a deeper assessment of these initiatives. A delegation from Maharashtra recently reviewed Uttar Pradesh’s digital healthcare infrastructure. They studied systems like the e-Kavach platform, the Unified Disease Surveillance Portal, and the UP Health Command Centre. The team also explored the Mantra Application and the e-RUPI Voucher system, which streamline health service delivery.

The visit included an evaluation of Uttar Pradesh’s Public-Private Partnership model. This scheme provides free dialysis, CT scans, and teleradiology services to residents. Officials also examined the state’s emergency ambulance network, which achieves an average response time of just seven minutes. Another focus was the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, implemented across Uttar Pradesh. The delegation noted how technology has improved transparency and speed in public health administration. They believe similar systems could enhance healthcare quality in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra now plans to send a specialised team to Uttar Pradesh for a detailed study of these models. The goal is to adapt technology-driven solutions that improve healthcare efficiency and accessibility. Officials have highlighted the potential of such systems to transform public health services in the state.
