Altai Krai invests 22 billion rubles to transform social infrastructure in 2025

Altai Krai is pushing ahead with major national projects in 2025. The region has allocated 22 billion rubles to develop healthcare, education, culture, and urban spaces. Governor Viktor Tomenko confirmed these efforts are improving social infrastructure and daily life for residents. Construction has just started on a new children’s music school in Barnaul. This adds to 25 school buildings already renovated under the Youth and Children national project. Kindergartens in Aleysky and Volchikha Districts have also been upgraded as part of the Family initiative.

Healthcare is seeing major progress too. A modern modular admissions department is now being built at Regional Emergency Hospital No. 2. Under the Long and Active Life project, 32 medical facilities have been completed, including polyclinics in Aleysk and Rebrikha. In Smolensky District, a new polyclinic opened in 2025, with three more under way.

Youth centres and hubs remain active in Biysk, Zarinsk, Smolensky, and the German National District. These sites support ongoing cultural and educational programmes for young people. The projects are delivering tangible results across Altai Krai. New schools, hospitals, and cultural spaces are now serving communities. The region’s investment is creating long-term benefits for its residents.
