DKSH and BridgeBio Partner to Distribute Rare Heart Disease Treatment in Asia-Pacific
DKSH Business Unit Healthcare has formed a distribution partnership with BridgeBio. The agreement covers a transthyretin stabiliser for treating a rare heart disease in adults. The product targets wild-type or variant transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis, known as ATTR-CM. ATTR-CM is a progressive and debilitating condition. It leads to frequent hospital stays and reduces life expectancy. The new therapy aims to address this unmet medical need.
Under the deal, DKSH will distribute and commercialise the treatment in Australia, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan. The product is not yet approved in these markets. DKSH plans to use its expertise in regulatory affairs, medical support, and market access to bring the drug to patients.
Patrik Grande, Global Head of Business Unit Healthcare at DKSH, welcomed the collaboration. He described it as a key step for the company’s growth and long-term vision. DKSH will offer end-to-end solutions to ensure broad healthcare access. The partnership allows DKSH to expand treatment options for ATTR-CM patients. Its experience in biotech launches positions it well for future approvals. The company remains focused on improving access to innovative therapies in its covered regions.
