Doctors save 73-year-old stroke patient in Ussuriysk after dramatic rescue

Doctors in Ussuriysk have saved a 73-year-old man after he suffered a stroke. The incident marks the second such case in Primorsky Krai this year, following a similar event in Vladivostok in April. The man managed to call an acquaintance before the stroke worsened. He only said one word: 'Bad'. Soon after, he was found lying on the floor with slurred speech and paralysis on the left side of his body.

An ambulance crew arrived at the scene in 19 minutes. They had to force entry into the apartment to reach him. Medical workers quickly examined the patient and consulted a neurosurgeon using a telemedicine system.

The patient was then rushed to Vladivostok for emergency surgery. Doctors stress that with strokes, every minute is critical for survival and recovery. The quick response of medical teams ensured the man received urgent care. His transfer to Vladivostok allowed specialists to perform the necessary surgery. This case highlights the importance of rapid intervention in stroke treatment.
