MEAPEN 2026 Kicks Off in Dubai with AI and Nutrition Innovations
The Middle East Alliance for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Congress (MEAPEN 2026) began on June 4 at the Intercontinental Hotel Festival City in Dubai. Organised by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions alongside the Emirates Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Society, the event has drawn over 500 healthcare professionals from more than 15 countries for two days of discussions and learning. Sheikha Shamsa bint Hasher Al Maktoum attended the opening ceremony, where Dr. Wafaa Helmi Ayesh, President of MEAPEN, welcomed delegates. In her speech, Dr. Ayesh highlighted the congress theme: Advancing Clinical Nutrition: Bridging Science, Technology, and Patient-Centered Care. A key focus this year is the role of artificial intelligence and digital health in improving clinical nutrition practices.
The event features 17 scientific sessions led by over 70 expert speakers. Topics range from critical care and paediatric nutrition to oncology, obesity management, and personalised nutrition strategies. Delegates also have the opportunity to earn 28 CME Credits, accredited by the Dubai Health Authority.
MEAPEN 2026 brings together specialists to explore the latest advancements in nutrition science and technology. The congress aims to enhance patient care through innovation and collaboration across the healthcare sector. Sessions will continue over two days, covering a wide spectrum of clinical nutrition challenges and solutions.
