Regional Medical Center honors top staff with new combined awards ceremony
Regional Medical Center recently held its first combined awards ceremony to honour outstanding staff. The event recognised both nursing and non-nursing employees for their dedication to patient care and service excellence. The DAISY Award, a long-standing tradition at the hospital, celebrates exceptional nursing staff. Denise Lympus, a Nurse Practitioner, received this year’s honour. The ceremony also introduced the new ROSE Award, created to acknowledge non-nursing employees for their contributions. Abbie Wooten, a Physical Therapist, was the first to receive it.
During the event, nomination letters from patients, families, and colleagues were read aloud. These letters highlighted the impact of the award winners on the hospital community. Details about the awards and how to nominate future candidates are available on the RMC website.
A full recording of the ceremony has been uploaded to Regional Medical Center’s YouTube channel for public viewing. The ceremony marked a new chapter in recognising staff achievements at the hospital. Both awards underline the importance of excellence in healthcare, whether in nursing or support roles. The event’s recordings and nomination processes remain accessible online for those interested.
