Magadan's New Maternity Hospital Secures Federal Funding for Final Construction Phase

A new regional maternity hospital in Magadan has been included in the government’s list of major infrastructure projects. Governor Sergei Nosov secured its place, ensuring continuous funding for the final phase of construction. The facility promises to raise healthcare standards for mothers and infants across the region and beyond. The 20,000-square-metre complex will feature an 80-bed inpatient unit, a women’s clinic capable of 100 visits per shift, and a day hospital. Advanced Russian-made medical equipment, including neonatal care systems, will be installed to provide top-tier treatment.

The project’s inclusion in the federal list guarantees stable financing. Strict oversight by state and regulatory bodies will prevent corruption and ensure efficient use of funds. This monitoring applies to all projects on the list, such as the Kamchatka Regional Hospital, children’s hospitals in Omsk and Tver, and road upgrades in other areas. Once open, the hospital will serve not only Magadan but also neighbouring regions like Chukotka and Kamchatka. Its capacity is designed to accommodate external patients without reducing care quality for local expectant mothers.

The maternity hospital’s completion will deliver high-standard medical services to a wider population. Rigorous supervision and secured funding ensure the project meets its goals on schedule. The facility will become a key part of the region’s social infrastructure.
