Madhya Pradesh Governor launches blood bank and welfare schemes in Khargone
Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel recently visited Jhirniya in Khargone to open a new blood bank. During the event, he also announced several initiatives aimed at improving healthcare and infrastructure in the region. Governor Patel inaugurated the blood bank and spoke about the Prime Minister’s goal to eradicate sickle cell disease by 2047. He praised the Sickle Cell Mitra initiative for its support to patients and presented sickle cell certificates to Ranjana and Sanjana.
He also donated two new ambulances and a hearse to the Health Department. In addition, he gave food baskets to tuberculosis patients Thavali Bai and Billor. The Governor mentioned that regular six-month medication can cure tuberculosis.
MP Gyaneshwar Patil announced a 1500 crore lift irrigation scheme for Jhirniya. Governor Patel highlighted ongoing development in tribal areas under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana and the Dharti Aba Village Development Scheme. He stated that central and state governments are collaborating to support the needy. The new blood bank and donated vehicles will strengthen healthcare services in Khargone. The irrigation scheme and welfare programmes aim to improve living conditions in tribal areas. These measures reflect joint efforts to address health and development needs.
