Marathon Raises Funds for Toddler's Life-Changing Hearing Aids

A charity marathon in Pechora has raised 39,100 rubles for two-year-old Vladislava Pystina. The funds will help cover the cost of her vital hearing aids. Vladislava lives with severe hearing loss and cerebral palsy after being diagnosed with neonatal jaundice as a newborn. Vladislava was diagnosed with neonatal nuclear jaundice just nine days after birth. The condition led to chronic bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, classified as grade 3. She also developed cerebral palsy, which affects her mobility and communication.

Despite her challenges, Vladislava can express emotions and say a few words, such as 'mama' and 'oy'. Her mother, Svetlana, remains on leave to care for her full-time, dedicating nearly all her energy to supporting her daughter’s needs.

The custom-fitted hearing aids Vladislava requires cost 190,000 rubles. The recent marathon, organised by the Power of Kindness nonprofit foundation, has covered part of this sum. Donations can still be made online through Sberbank or in person at the foundation’s office. Vladislava still needs 190,000 rubles to afford her hearing aids. The Power of Kindness Foundation, registered under tax ID 1101502094, continues to accept contributions. Each donation brings her closer to the support she urgently needs.
