Krasnodar stabbing leaves woman injured in domestic dispute

A stabbing incident took place on Ofitserskaya Street in Krasnodar on 23 January. A man attacked his wife with a knife during a domestic dispute. The assault resulted in the woman sustaining abdominal injuries. The victim’s relative stepped in and contacted emergency services. She received prompt medical care for her wounds.

Authorities later determined the suspect suffered from a chronic mental disorder. A forensic evaluation confirmed his condition impaired his ability to understand and control his actions. He is now detained in a specialised medical facility.

Investigators have forwarded case files to the court. They have also submitted a request for compulsory medical treatment for the suspect. The court will review the evidence and the motion for treatment. The woman survived the attack after receiving immediate medical attention. The suspect remains under medical supervision.
