Ebola patient fully recovers in Berlin after rapid treatment success

An American citizen was diagnosed with Ebola in Berlin’s Charité hospital on 20 May. The patient was immediately moved to a high-security isolation unit for treatment. Five family members were also placed under quarantine as high-risk contacts.

The patient’s condition improved quickly after admission. Severe symptoms began to fade within the first week of treatment. By 30 May, tests showed no detectable traces of the virus in their system.

The patient remained symptom-free for over 72 hours before being discharged. Meanwhile, the five quarantined family members showed no signs of infection.
