India's First Doctor-Led Brain Wellness Program Launches for Seniors

India’s first doctor-led brain wellness programme for seniors, ActiveMind Daily, has been launched by Dr. Sweta Sahu. The initiative offers a 10-day pilot for 50 founding families to test its unique approach. Designed around Indian family routines, it requires no screen time from participants. ActiveMind Daily delivers one short daily activity focused on memory, language, attention, reflection, and family connection. Reminders are sent via WhatsApp or phone calls, making progress simple to track. The programme’s framework follows evidence-based guidance from the World Health Organization and the National Institute on Ageing.

Dr. Sweta Sahu, a physician and researcher with experience at Johns Hopkins, the Cleveland Clinic, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, leads the initiative. She is joined by co-founder Dr. Sri Sravya Thungathurthi, a physician specialising in healthy ageing and preventive medicine. Interested families can find more details at activeminddaily.in/check. The pilot is now open, with only 50 families accepted in the first batch. The programme aims to support cognitive health through structured, accessible daily activities. Its design ensures ease of use for seniors and their families.
