Vladivostok Doctors Perform Rare Emergency Blood Purification in Spassk-Dalny

Doctors from Vladivostok Clinical Hospital No. 1 travelled to Spassk-Dalny to treat a 30-year-old woman suffering from acute kidney injury and multiple organ failure. The patient’s condition was too critical for safe transport, so specialists performed emergency treatment at Spassk City Hospital. Anesthesiologists Pavel Knyazenko and Polina Nabatchikova led an on-site session of acute effluent therapy. This marked the first time extracorporeal blood purification was carried out at the local hospital. The procedure aimed to stabilise the woman’s condition.

The patient remains under constant medical supervision. Once her health improves, she will be transferred to Vladivostok for further treatment. The intervention allowed doctors to provide life-saving care without risking a dangerous transfer. The woman will receive additional treatment in Vladivostok as soon as her condition permits.
