Wiesbaden hosts free legal workshop on wills and emergency planning
The Wiesbaden guardianship authority is organising a free information evening on Monday, September 29. The event will take place at 6 pm in the town hall, room 22, at Schlossplatz 6. Attendees can learn about managing legal and health matters in emergencies.
The session will cover key legal tools: power of attorney, guardianship orders, and living wills. These arrangements help individuals appoint trusted people to act on their behalf if they become unable to decide for themselves. Without such documents, a court may assign a guardian instead.
Susanne Roßnagel and Jutta Meth will lead the discussion. They will explain how to prepare these documents and answer questions from the audience. The event also highlights the importance of living wills, which ensure medical decisions align with a person's wishes.
Registration is open to everyone. Interested participants can sign up by calling (0611) 314038 or emailing [email protected]. No prior legal knowledge is required to attend.
The evening provides a chance to understand legal safeguards for health and financial decisions. Attendees will leave with clear steps on setting up powers of attorney, guardianship orders, or living wills. The event aims to help people prepare for unexpected situations.
