Preventive Checkups Prove the Value of Regular Health Screenings
In 2026, 7,925 residents of Ukhta have already undergone mandatory medical examinations, and for many, this became an opportunity to detect serious health risks in time.
Statistics reveal that only 18% (1,457 people) of those examined can be considered practically healthy. The overwhelming majority—68.5% (5,435 individuals)—have already been diagnosed with chronic conditions requiring ongoing medical supervision.
Thanks to these screenings, doctors identified seven cases of cancer at early stages, including four cases of breast cancer. Additionally, 21 cases of hypertension and 10 cases of type 2 diabetes were diagnosed for the first time. Early detection of these diseases allows for immediate treatment and helps prevent severe complications.
An analysis of risk factors painted a concerning picture: nearly 98% of those examined had poor dietary habits and sedentary lifestyles. Over 64% were overweight, and 56% had elevated cholesterol levels.
Following the checkups, 556 individuals were referred for further, in-depth examinations to clarify diagnoses and prescribe treatment.
Medical professionals emphasize that annual preventive screenings—especially for those over 40—are not just a formality but a vital tool for managing one's health. Appointments can be scheduled at the registration desk, through the Gosuslugi public services portal (using the Max robot assistant), via the call center hotline, with a primary care physician, or through the Moyo Zdorovye (My Health) app in the MAX messenger.
