Tikhoretsky Hospital's New MRI Machine Boosts Diagnostic Care for Thousands
A state-of-the-art MRI machine has been procured under Krasnodar Territory's regional government program Healthcare Development.
The Central District Hospital also completed a major renovation of a dedicated building for diagnostic procedures. Equipping the medical facility with this advanced technology will improve access to care for local residents—a key objective of the national project Long and Active Life.
"Residents of Tikhoretsky District and nearby municipalities can now undergo essential scans close to home and with shorter wait times," said Irina Vyazovskaya, First Deputy Minister of Health for Krasnodar Territory. "MRI can detect a wide range of conditions—from heart and vascular diseases to internal organ disorders, spinal issues, and brain tumors—and this is just a fraction of its diagnostic capabilities. In just two months, over 120 examinations have already been performed on the new equipment."
The MRI scanner will be available to both inpatients and outpatients referred by their physicians.
Over the past five years, Krasnodar Territory's Healthcare Development program has supplied regional hospitals with more than 130 units of high-end medical equipment, including CT and MRI scanners, ultrasound machines, C-arms, and X-ray systems, according to the territory's administration press service.
