Russky Island Clinic Saves Two Lives in a Single Day After Major Upgrades
Doctors at the Russky Island outpatient clinic saved two critically ill patients in one day. The emergencies involved a man in severe anaphylactic shock and a woman with signs of a heart attack. Both were stabilised and later transferred to Vladivostok Clinical Hospital No. 1 for further treatment.
The first patient, a 39-year-old man, suffered sudden weakness after taking painkillers. His condition rapidly worsened into anaphylactic shock, requiring immediate intervention. The medical team, led by the clinic’s senior physician, acted quickly to stabilise him before arranging his transfer.
A 48-year-old woman arrived shortly after with symptoms of an acute myocardial infarction. Staff provided urgent care and transferred her to the same hospital in Vladivostok. Both patients were later discharged and are now recovering at home. The woman later left a review praising the clinic’s attentive and professional care. The emergencies took place at the Russky Island Medical Center, which underwent a major renovation in 2025 under the national Long and Active Life project. The upgrades included modern equipment and expanded capacity, improving the facility’s ability to handle critical cases.
Both patients have since returned home and continue their recovery. The clinic’s renovated facilities and trained staff played a key role in their successful treatment. The incident highlights the centre’s improved emergency response capabilities following recent upgrades.
