Russia's Free Health Centres Offer Rapid Screenings to Thousands in 2025

Russia's national project Long and Active Life has expanded access to preventive healthcare across the country. By the end of 2023, more than 2,000 health centres opened their doors to the public. These facilities provide quick, walk-in check-ups with no need for prior appointments.

Each visitor receives a thorough but rapid screening in under 20 minutes. The assessment includes body mass index measurement, cholesterol and blood glucose tests, and cardiac function checks. Based on the results, medical staff offer tailored recommendations for improving health.

The centres focus on early detection of disease risks and provide personalised recovery plans. Guidance covers quitting unhealthy habits, adjusting diets, increasing physical activity, and improving sleep hygiene. In 2025 alone, over 110,000 people—including 20,000 children—visited these facilities.

Krasnodar Territory currently operates 19 health centres, with seven specifically dedicated to young patients. The project aims to make preventive care widely available and encourage healthier lifestyles nationwide.

The Long and Active Life initiative continues to grow, offering free and convenient health assessments. With thousands of centres now operational, more people can access early screenings and personalised advice. The programme's focus remains on reducing disease risks and promoting long-term well-being.
