Treatment for heart and stomach conditions will shift to Pritzwalk Hospital. Meanwhile, an emergency medical station will stay open in Wittstock to maintain urgent care access.
Ruppin-Brandenburg University Hospital has proposed running the new polyclinic. The facility aims to blend outpatient and inpatient care efficiently. A working group, formed in late February 2023, has until the end of this month to design a sustainable business model for the centre.
The polyclinic's development seeks to secure long-term healthcare for the area. If the business model succeeds, the site could reopen as a modern medical hub. The project's next steps depend on the working group's findings, due by the end of February.
