Nuvation Bio unveils cancer drug breakthroughs at BioConnect 2026

Nuvation Bio Inc. (NUVB) showcased its latest developments at the H.C. Wainwright 4th Annual BioConnect Investor Conference on 19 May 2026. The company highlighted key drugs in its pipeline, including a recently approved cancer treatment and ongoing trials for another promising therapy. The conference presentation was led by Robert Burns, Managing Director and Senior Healthcare Analyst at H.C. Wainwright. He was joined by Nuvation Bio’s leadership team: David Hung, Founder, President, CEO & Chairman, and Philippe Sauvage, CFO & Principal Financial Officer.

The company outlined three main programmes in its pipeline. IBTROZI, a best-in-class ROS1 inhibitor for non-small cell lung cancer, received approval in July 2025. Another drug, taletrectinib, had already been approved nearly a year earlier.

Nuvation Bio also provided updates on safusidenib, an IDH1 inhibitor for brain tumours currently in pivotal studies. The presentation included pooled data from the TRUST-I and TRUST-II trials.

Looking ahead, the company plans to share further progress on its Drug-Drug Conjugate (DDC) platform later in 2026. The conference highlighted Nuvation Bio’s expanding portfolio of cancer treatments. With two approved drugs and ongoing trials for safusidenib, the company continues to advance its research. Updates on the DDC platform are expected before the end of the year.
