New Bergisch Gladbach Support Groups Offer Hope for Bipolar and COPD Patients
The Self-Help Contact Center in Bergisch Gladbach has launched two new support groups for local residents. One group, named SchwarzWeiss, will assist people living with bipolar disorder, while another will provide help for those with COPD. Both aim to offer a space for sharing experiences and mutual encouragement.
The SchwarzWeiss support group will hold its first meeting on March 3, 2026. Sessions will take place every other Tuesday at 5:30 PM at Die Kette e.V., located at Paffrather Str. 70. The group is designed to create a safe environment where individuals with bipolar disorder can exchange stories, offer support, and build understanding.
The COPD support group will meet on the fourth Friday of each month at 4:00 PM. These gatherings will be held at the Self-Help Contact Center's offices on Odenthaler Str. 19. The focus will be on sharing coping strategies, providing mutual aid, and improving participants' well-being through shared perspectives.
Anyone interested in joining either group can contact the Self-Help Contact Center for the Rheinisch-Bergischer District. They can be reached by phone at 02202 93 689 21 or via email at [email protected].
Both support groups are now open for registration. The SchwarzWeiss sessions will begin in March, while the COPD group will start its regular meetings soon. Organisers encourage those affected by either condition to get in touch for further details.
