Man survives near-fatal heart attack after ignoring chest pain for hours

A 35-year-old Chinese man survived a near-fatal heart attack after ignoring severe chest pain for hours. Doctors at Nakhodka City Hospital acted swiftly to save his life when his condition rapidly worsened. The patient arrived at the hospital in critical condition. His symptoms had begun over four hours earlier, but he delayed seeking help. Upon admission, his heart developed a dangerous arrhythmia, requiring immediate resuscitation.

Specialists used a defibrillator to restore his heartbeat. Further tests revealed a 99% blockage in one coronary artery due to a blood clot. An emergency procedure successfully cleared the obstruction and restored blood flow, preventing severe complications.

The man’s recovery was swift. He was discharged just ten days later and is now undergoing rehabilitation.

This case follows another recent emergency in Primorsky Krai. Earlier, local medics saved a foreign student from the Far Eastern Federal University after a serious traffic accident near the Chinese border. The patient’s survival depended on urgent medical intervention. Doctors stress that prompt treatment for heart attack symptoms is critical. His full recovery will require continued rehabilitation and monitoring.
