A 70-year-old Malaysian pilgrim has died of a heart attack while performing the umrah in Mecca. The incident occurred on May 6, with the man passing away at Ajyad Hospital after falling ill. The pilgrim, from Senggarang in Johor, was part of the KT34 group during his journey. He had been staying at the Elaf Al Bait hotel before being rushed to hospital.
After his death, his remains were taken to Masjidil Haram for funeral prayers. He was later buried at Al Sharayea Cemetery in Mecca.
The man’s death marks a tragic loss during the pilgrimage. His funeral followed Islamic rites, with burial taking place in one of Mecca’s main cemeteries.
