Krasnoyarsk's Health Decline Puts It Near Bottom of National Rankings
Krasnoyarsk Territory has dropped in a national ranking of healthy living, falling to 75th place out of 85 regions. The latest study, conducted by RIA Novosti, measured how well residents maintain healthy habits and working conditions. Despite efforts, the region has struggled to improve in key areas over recent years.
The 2024 assessment evaluated seven main factors: alcohol and tobacco use, drug consumption, physical activity, and workplace conditions. Krasnoyarsk scored just 46.7 points, placing it near the bottom of the list. This marks a decline from its 2019 position at 71st, indicating little progress in promoting healthier lifestyles.
No detailed comparisons with other regions, such as the North Caucasus republics or Chukotka, were included in the findings. The study also did not provide specific trends from previous years, leaving gaps in understanding regional differences.
The ranking highlights ongoing challenges in Krasnoyarsk's public health efforts. With a score of 46.7, the region remains among the lowest for living spaces. Officials may need to address persistent issues in substance use, exercise, and work environments to see future improvements.
