KKB Hospital Installs Life-Saving AED for Faster Cardiac Emergency Response

KKB Hospital has installed an automated external defibrillator (AED) in its reception-diagnostic department. The device is designed to provide immediate help during sudden cardiac emergencies. Both medical staff and trained personnel can now use it in critical situations.

The AED is lightweight, compact, and requires no manual adjustments. It features self-adhesive electrodes and a built-in heart rhythm analyser that decides whether a shock is needed. Voice instructions guide the user through each step, making it easier to assist a patient.

Sergei Lukyanov, head of KKB, highlighted the importance of the device. He explained that seriously ill patients arriving at the hospital may suddenly deteriorate at the entrance. The AED ensures rapid response in such cases, improving survival chances.

While the exact number of AEDs in the wider region remains unclear, this installation marks a key addition to KKB's emergency preparedness. The device can treat sudden cardiac arrest or life-threatening arrhythmias without delay.

The AED's user-friendly design allows trained staff, including registrars, to operate it effectively. Its automated features and portability increase the likelihood of saving lives during emergencies. The hospital now has a vital tool to handle critical situations at the point of entry.
