Husband's Quick Action Saves Wife from Sudden Cardiac Arrest at Home

A woman in Gelendzhik survived sudden cardiac arrest after her husband revived her with guidance from emergency call handlers. The quick response and clear instructions over the phone proved critical in saving her life. This marks the fifth successful resuscitation of its kind in the region since January. The incident began when the woman suddenly collapsed at home, losing consciousness and stopping breathing. Her husband immediately called emergency services, where a dispatch physician guided him through chest compressions and rescue breaths. Following the instructions carefully, the husband managed to restart his wife's heart before medics arrived. Paramedics later confirmed she had suffered sudden cardiac arrest based on the symptoms described during the call. Once the medical team took over, they stabilised the woman and transported her for further treatment. Her survival depended on the combined efforts of her husband's quick action and the professional support from emergency services. The case adds to a growing number of lives saved in Gelendzhik this year through phone-guided resuscitation. Emergency dispatchers have now assisted in five such successful outcomes since January. The woman's recovery continues under medical supervision.
