Health & Wellbeing Collective hits €1B with ninth straight quarter of growth
The Health & Wellbeing Collective, a €1 billion portfolio of seven fast-growing lifestyle brands, has reported another quarter of strong performance. Under CEO Jostein Solheim, the four-year-old division achieved 10.2% growth in Q1 2023—its ninth straight quarter of double-digit expansion. The Collective now forms part of a €12 billion global Beauty & Wellbeing business group.
The Collective was launched to focus on brands blending scientific credibility, personalisation, and transparency. Its portfolio includes Liquid I.V., OLLY, Nutrafol, SmartyPants Vitamins, Onnit, Equilibra, and Welly. Since being acquired, these brands have more than doubled their sales, with Liquid I.V. alone quadrupling turnover and expanding its team from 40 to 160 employees.
Q1 2023 saw several key developments. Nutrafol debuted in Sephora, while SmartyPants Vitamins introduced sugar-free multi-vitamin gummies. Onnit launched Alpha Brain Pre-Workout, and Liquid I.V. continued its rapid growth while expanding its Clean Water Grants program, backed by a $1.3 million commitment. Every brand in the Collective reported growth during the quarter.
The division's resilience comes from its strong position in high-growth markets. Digitally native brands drive ecommerce success, while expansion into physical retail further boosts performance. In 2022, the Collective contributed over €1 billion in turnover, reinforcing its role within the wider business.
Solheim, who took charge in 2021, brought decades of experience, including eight years as CEO of Ben & Jerry's. His leadership has helped steer the Collective through consistent expansion, with no signs of slowing down.
The Health & Wellbeing Collective remains on an upward trajectory, with all seven brands reporting growth in Q1 2023. Its mix of digital strength and retail expansion continues to deliver results, maintaining double-digit increases for nearly two and a half years. The division's performance highlights its growing influence within the €12 billion Beauty & Wellbeing group.
