Germany's First Robot-Guided Heart Clinic Opens at Klinikum Fürth

A cutting-edge heart clinic has opened at Klinikum Fürth, introducing Germany's first robot-controlled magnetic navigation system for treating heart rhythm disorders. The facility, launched on February 8, 2026, represents a major advancement in cardiac care with its high-precision technology and expanded capacity for patients.

The new medical centre specialises in surgical treatments for arrhythmias, using radiofrequency and cryoablation techniques. Its standout feature is the Stereotaxis Genesis system, a robot-assisted magnetic navigation tool that guides soft catheters with two powerful magnets. This method reduces injury risks while improving accuracy, supported by 3D-mapping to pinpoint and correct electrical faults such as those in atrial fibrillation.

The clinic is the only one in the region offering these advanced procedures. It operates with a 47-bed inpatient unit and can manage up to 150 patient visits per shift. Beyond arrhythmia treatments, the centre provides a full spectrum of cardiology and cardiac surgery services, including high-tech interventions. Total investments in the facility have reached around 2.5 billion tenge.

The launch of this specialised heart laboratory marks a significant step in cardiac treatment capabilities. Patients now have access to minimally invasive, high-precision procedures for complex rhythm disorders. The clinic's expanded infrastructure and technology aim to serve more individuals while maintaining advanced care standards.
