Fake heart medication interview exploits surgeon's name to scam elderly

Kazakh Cardiac Surgeon Yuri Pya's Interview Promoting Heart Medications Is Fake, National Cardiac Surgery Center Reports

Fraudsters are spreading false information online about an interview with Yuri Pya, director of surgery at the Heart Center, to advertise the drugs Cardipal and Cardio Lysine. The interview never took place, and the renowned cardiac surgeon's name was used without his consent to promote these products, the center's press service stated.

"Neither Yuri Pya nor any specialists from the Heart Center are involved in advertising medications, drugs, dietary supplements, or other pharmaceutical products," the statement reads.

According to center staff, scammers exploit the trust of elderly people by fabricating fake interviews with medical professionals, pushing them to purchase potentially harmful medications.

"The center urges the public not to self-medicate. If you experience health concerns or before using any medication, always consult a doctor," the statement emphasizes.
