Epetōme Secures Major Funding to Dominate the Gut Health Market
Epetōme, a UK-based gut health company, has secured fresh funding to accelerate its global expansion. The investment round was led by Active Partners and Redrice Ventures, two firms known for backing high-growth consumer brands. The new capital will help Epetōme scale operations and boost clinical testing of its probiotic and prebiotic products.
The company aims to establish itself as the UK's leading gut health brand. Founder Emily English described the funding as a major step forward, highlighting its potential to drive growth and innovation. Co-founder and executive chair Jimmy Hill also welcomed the new partners, praising their shared vision for evidence-based wellness solutions.
Active Partners, which has previously invested in brands like Honest Burgers and Rapha, sees strong consumer demand for science-backed health products. Billy Fox of Active Partners expressed confidence in Epetōme's ability to meet this demand and become a defining name in the sector.
Redrice Ventures, a growth investment firm, focuses on media, sport, health, and wellness. The firm's Redrice Sports Collective includes backing from Sir Andy Murray and Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee OBE. Both athletes support investments in high-potential brands, aligning with Epetōme's mission to deliver proven gut health solutions.
The funding will allow Epetōme to expand its product testing and reach new markets. With support from experienced investors, the company plans to strengthen its position in the gut health industry. The next phase will focus on scaling production and increasing clinical research into its probiotic and prebiotic offerings.
