Belarusian Family Discovers Affordable Luxury at an Italian Wellness Resort
Dietitian Irina Yablonskaya and her family recently visited an Italian sanatorium for a wellness break. They chose the destination for its lower cost compared to similar resorts in Belarus. The trip included thermal treatments, mud baths, and a stay in a spacious triple room.
The exact location was not named, but details suggest the Galzignano Resort in Galzignano Terme, near Venice. The family booked a six-night stay at the Majestic Hotel from April 12 to 18. The package for two adults and a child cost €1,495—around 5.1 million rubles. This was significantly cheaper than a comparable week at Belarus's Alfa-Radon sanatorium, which starts at 6.9 million rubles even with a 15% discount.
Their room featured two large beds, a private bathroom with a shower cabin, and a terrace. While the terrace offered an average view, nearby construction work slightly affected the scenery. The resort provided mud and thermal treatments, though exact details on wellness options were limited.
Breakfast included a wide selection: fried eggs, kebabs, bacon, sausages, pies, fruits, tea, coffee, and fresh juices. Yablonskaya described the food as healthy and balanced, dismissing criticism from a user who called it poor and unhealthy. The family also tried the local thermal springs, staying nearly an hour despite the recommended 20-minute limit.
Yablonskaya mentioned she would share the full cost breakdown of their stay later. Nearby Abano Terme hotels, like the Abano Grand Hotel, offer additional wellness services such as aromatherapy, ayurvedic treatments, and hot stone massages. The family's trip highlights the appeal of Italian sanatoriums for cost-conscious travellers. Their stay included thermal therapies, spacious accommodation, and varied meals. Yablonskaya's experience may encourage others to consider similar wellness destinations over pricier alternatives.
