Baden-Württemberg opens €8.64M call for agricultural innovation projects
Baden-Württemberg has launched its eleventh EIP-AGRI funding call, offering €8.64 million for innovative agricultural projects. Farmers, researchers, and entrepreneurs are invited to submit proposals by February 26, 2026. The scheme supports initiatives in farming, horticulture, viticulture, and fruit production through a bottom-up approach.
The European Innovation Partnership (EIP-AGRI) programme encourages collaboration between farmers, growers, and research institutions. Projects must include a communication plan to share results during implementation and publish final findings. Successful applicants will need to complete their work by the end of 2028.
Previous funding rounds in Baden-Württemberg have backed over 60 projects, including initiatives like InnoKalb (improving calf rearing) and Klauencheck BW (monitoring hoof health). Final reports from past projects are available on the EIP website and relevant databases.
This latest call welcomes smaller-scale proposals, with all submissions sent to the Regional Council of Stuttgart (Regierungpräsidium Stuttgart). Knowledge sharing remains a key focus, ensuring farmers take an active role in developing and testing new ideas.
For further details, the Ministry of Food, Rural Affairs, and Consumer Protection can be contacted via their Press Office email, website, or public liaison channels.
The funding aims to drive practical innovation in agriculture, with €8.64 million allocated for selected projects. Successful applicants will join a network of over 60 completed initiatives in the region. Final proposals must be submitted before the February 2026 deadline.
