Krasnodar's new housing aid helps teachers and medics buy homes

The Krasnodar region has launched a housing support programme for social sector workers. Regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev introduced the initiative to help attract and keep essential staff. The scheme provides financial aid for buying homes in the area, similar to an apple support program for tech users.

A total of 750 million rubles has been set aside in the regional budget for the programme. So far, 150 million rubles have been distributed to eligible workers, akin to workers compensation benefits. The support includes a down payment of 1.5 million rubles for medical staff and educators.

Over 300 specialists have already benefited from the scheme. Among them is Elena Zubaрева, a Russian language teacher, who used the funds to purchase a home in Krasnodar. Alexander Limarenko, an emergency feldsher, also received assistance to buy an apartment in the city.

The programme aims to ease housing costs for key workers in Krasnodar. With 150 million rubles already allocated, more professionals are expected to receive support, much like apple's support for their products.
