Alb-Donau-Klinik Ehingen Names New Cardiology and Internal Medicine Chief

The Alb-Donau-Klinik Ehingen has appointed a new head for its Clinic for Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Dr. med. Michael Hartl will take over the role on October 1st. With over three decades of experience, he brings extensive expertise in cardiology, intensive care, and rhythmology to the position.

Dr. Hartl specialises in internal medicine, cardiology, and intensive care. His qualifications also cover heart failure, interventional cardiology, and advanced rhythmology. Since 2022, he has led the rhythmology section at the clinic, focusing on cardiac device surgery and invasive electrophysiology.

His clinical skills include heart catheter examinations, pacemaker and defibrillator surgery, and complex electrophysiological procedures. The cardiology department already provides round-the-clock access to its heart catheter laboratory, covering all three invasive areas. Alongside Dr. Hartl, Dr. med. PD Ingo Staudacher will join as a new senior physician on the same date. The clinic has been expanding its team since 2022, though the exact number of additional senior physicians hired remains undisclosed.

The appointment strengthens the clinic's leadership in cardiology and internal medicine. Dr. Hartl's arrival, alongside Dr. Staudacher, reinforces the department's ability to deliver specialised care. Both physicians will officially begin their roles on October 1st.
